Duncan

Our Duncan site has proudly supported families throughout Duncan and the Cowichan Valley for several years. Located in a welcoming, well-lit, multi-room learning environment, our Community Classroom provides opportunities for students to develop their academic abilities, social connections, emotional regulation, communication, and independence.

At Pivot Point, we recognize that every learner has unique strengths, interests, needs, and goals. Our instructors work collaboratively with students, families, and relevant educational and community professionals to create meaningful, individualized learning experiences that support each student’s development and participation in everyday life.

Our goal is to provide a safe, welcoming, and supportive learning environment where students can build meaningful skills, strengthen relationships, explore their interests, and work toward greater independence. Through individualized instruction, structured support, and opportunities for real-world learning, we aim to help each student experience success in ways that are meaningful to them.

We would love to welcome you to our Duncan Community Classroom and show you how our space and learning approach can support your child. Contact us to arrange a visit and learn more about our centre-based services.

Duncan, BC

Conveniently located on Boundary Road in Duncan, our Community Classroom provides a welcoming space for learning and connection, with convenient access for families and community members.

Students

Our class currently includes a small pod for students ages 6 to 10, and another for students 11 to 18. We also support a few students who prefer home-based learning, but remain connected to the class through daily video conferencing.

Our focus will continue to be on the individual emotional and behavioural needs of our complex learners. Class time, whether indoors or out, is spent creating experiential learning opportunities. Project-Based Learning is utilized allowing each child to be an active partner in their education. We are well equipped to add more learners to our class, which is shaping up to be a fun year!

Staff

Our staff and students are looking forward to learning, growing, and laughing together in September!

We have formed partnerships around the Cowichan Valley to ensure our learners have plenty of opportunities where they can put their new skills to use in “real world” community environments!
