Psycho-Educational Testing
Psycho-Educational testing is the process of evaluating a child’s cognitive abilities related to his or her educational performance. Using standardized educational tests, we report on the child’s comparative intelligence and cognitive abilities, memory, processing speed, academic achievement, as well as measures of behaviour… relative to same age peers.
Assessment reports provide a profile of a student’s academic and cognitive abilities, strengths, and weaknesses, while also determining if there are underlying learning disabilities, emotional processing challenges or attentional problems that are contributing to the student’s overall academic performance.
When we deepen our understanding of our own abilities, we gain control over our limitations, and create a clear path for growth!
Pivot Point’s Psycho-Educational assessment reports provide student specific recommendations so that parents, educational staff, Behaviour Consultants and Counsellors know how best to manage social-emotional-behavioural challenges in the classroom, home and community.
